What makes us unhappy is the realization that we aren’t living our lives to the fullest, not experiencing the full life we could be leading if we weren’t following some habitual or momentarily psychologically beneficial pattern. In this sense, social networks and content aggregators are the perfect generator of depression. They act as mirrors reflecting the echoes of your unfulfilled dreams and unlived lives. That’s precisely what attracts us the most, and for those dopamine-laden moments, you’re willing to trade your attention and the time granted to you by the reality of existence.

Smultronstället

Every once in a while, people suspect me of being a fraud. One day, Joe, the creative director at the agency where I worked for a spell, approached me and asked suspiciously, “Dmitry, admit it, you found this game code somewhere, right? Didn’t write it yourself?” I smirked at him then. Misha also gave me away once, saying, “Dima, it’s impossible for one person to know so much.” And he’d look at me conspiratorially, with a wink, “Fess up.” At first, I was taken aback; I didn’t expect this from a friend. But my indignation quickly turned to joy, the doubt of a colleague being the highest form of recognition. Someone else tried to call me out for faking it, though I forget who: “There’s no such position as “senior art-director”, Shalnov.” Of course, there isn’t.

Though, to be fair, impostor syndrome has been chasing me throughout my life. Every new skill opens up even more space of ignorance, making me feel limited and infinitely mediocre*. I regularly dream of exams. My shameful nightmare.

Interplay Medium Toy Campovan

Initially, I assembled everything on a single battery, but quickly realized that WiFi packet bursts are so voracious, they cause the LEDs to flicker even with a large capacitor added to the power supply. Our eyes are sensitive to the slightest change in brightness.
In the end, I decided to make separate power supplies with two batteries. One for the LEDs and one for the ESP8266 respectively.

NEO Frerunner soft-touch cleaning

Designers who use that sticky “Soft Touch coating” deserve a special department in hell, where they’ll polish their slippery messes until the second coming of Gropeus. Through diligent manipulation and several-hours workouts… I finally cleaned my NEO.

Note this recipe down, folks! The most effective method – a simple cloth and baking soda. Just dampen it, dip it in the soda, and away you go. The plastic doesn’t scratch, and gradually reveals its originally shiny surface. Like it was always meant to be. …Looking apprehensively on my laptop.

Also soldered a buzz issue filter…

Raps oil and LTC miner

Worth noting, rapeseed oil is pretty decent. Been running for 3 hours already.
And the current is certainly energizing ^___^

As a child, I often had a dream about going through the forest to the river, far down the path, where the shallow water is, to lie on my back next to the creek in the cool morning sand, to put my feet in the water, to make water sway and envelop my ankles. The forest that woke up high above the cliff was filled with trills, and the rays of the morning sun pleasantly shimmering on my face through the foliage with orange shadows.
