Bandcamp wrapped

I still use Bandcamp almost exclusively to buy music, and keep a big library of MP3s. The downside is that this marks me as a weirdo, but otherwise it’s great and has been working well for me.

Since I last wrote about it, Bandcamp was acquired by Epic games (?) and then acquired from them by Songtradr, and its employees are trying to get recognized as a union. Times are changing and Bandcamp is no longer a lovely indie company, but it’s still a heck of a lot better than Spotify.

People (who?) are sharing their ‘Spotify wrapped’ auto-generated compilations and I wanted the same, for my Bandcamp purchases,...

I’m thankful to the thousands of readers of this blog.  Well, not the few who submit troll comments from multiple pseudonymous handles, but the 99.9% who don’t. I’m thankful that they’ve stayed here even when events (as they do more and more often) send me into a spiral of doomscrolling and just subsisting hour-to-hour—when I’m left literally without words for weeks.

Среди множества пунктов предвыборной программы Дональда Трампа одним из особо примечательных было обещание полностью раскрыть секретные файлы об убийстве JFK, 35-го президента США Джона Фицджеральда Кеннеди. В популярнейшем подкасте у Джо Рогана (набравшем 51 миллион просмотров) Трамп заверил публику на данный счёт такими словами: «Я намерен сделать это немедленно, практически сразу, как только вступлю в должность».
