How we route-leaked everything to everyone due to a fun Arista bug. A post-mortem kind of story about us changing Arista RCF function names, resulting in a global route leak. EVPN Flex Cross Connect - L2 P2P VPNs can be agile as well! (denog17)

EVPN is (now) a well know Service Framework and is widely used as a replacement for VPLS ELAN Services and even some IP-VPN Services. EVPN was able to also do P2P ELINE Style services for quite some time, but with the finalization of RFC9744 it got some very interesting capabilities that can especially help aggregation networks to reduce scaling problems. In vorfreudiger Erwartung des 39C3 haben die dutzenden Kuratorinnen in den sechs Content-Teams sich in den letzten Wochen mächtig ins Zeug gelegt: Sie haben eingeladen, ausgewertet, angeschrieben, recherchiert, abgeglichen, rote Fäden gebastelt und verworfen, verfeinert und verknotet, Einreichungen sortiert, bewertet, diskutiert. Schließlich konnten sie die 763 eingereichten und eingeladenen Vortrags-Vorschläge auf 164 herunterdestillieren und einen Plan zusammenstellen, von dem wir alle überzeugt sind, dass uns alle auf den Bühnen lehrreiches, unterhaltsames und denkwürdiges Programm erwartet.

Doch nun seid ihr dran: Wir wollen in zwei Wochen aus der noch unsortierten Liste der Vorträge ein komplettes Programm bauen und brauchen dazu wieder...

39C3: Call for Assemblies

tl;dr: Registriert eure Assembly ab sofort im Hub, spätestens aber bis Sonntag, den 23. November, 23:42 Uhr (MEZ).

Auch zum 39C3 wird es auf mehreren Flächen und Ebenen des CCH wieder Tische, Stühle und Orte geben, die mit euren Ideen, Themen und Projekten gefüllt werden wollen. Bringt mit, was euch in euren Communities, Hackspaces, Erfas und Chaostreffs beschäftigt und begeistert. Schraubt gemeinsam an Projekten und Ideen, kommt mit Interessierten in Kontakt, lehrt und lernt, zeigt, erkundet und entdeckt Neues – und manchmal Altes.

Frei nach dem diesjährigen Motto Power Cycles wird es dieses Jahr Anpassungen im Assemblies-Bereich geben.
